SAVE OUR SIGNS
Last year the City of Chicago changed the rules for honorary street signs. Honorary signs can no longer be given to people who are living and honorary signs can be removed after five years.
It has come to my attention that some of the people who are still living are finding their signs gone.
I hereby make this appeal to the City to save the signs which belong to living people for the term of their lifetime plus at least five years. This is a limited number of people and they all received an honorary sign before the rule was changed. I will list the names of the living people to the best of my knowledge.
To further this effort, if you or someone you know has an honorary sign and that person is still living please contact me at linda@honorarychicago.com.
