William Friedkin
Linda Zabors
William Friedkin was an Academy Award winning director and screenwriter. His 1971 film, The French Connection, won 5 Academy Awards; his 1973 film and horror movie classic, The Exorcist, also won an Academy Award.
After high school he worked at WGN-TV and WTTW; shortly thereafter he started producing documentaries and films.
